How to Use SplitAction
Learn how to read betting splits and use consensus data to make smarter betting decisions.
Understanding Betting Splits
Betting splits show you how the betting public is wagering on each side of a game. Our data displays two key metrics:
% Bets:The percentage of total bets placed on each side
% Money:The percentage of total money wagered on each side
Identifying Sharp Money
Sharp money refers to wagers placed by professional bettors. You can spot it when there's a significant discrepancy between bet percentage and money percentage.
Example:
If 70% of bets are on Team A, but only 40% of the money is on Team A, it suggests sharps are betting big on Team B. The public likes Team A, but the smart money is going the other way.
Reading the Data Table
Our data table provides comprehensive information for each game:
Game:Teams playing and current spread
Time:Game start time

% Bets:Ticket percentage on each side
% Money:Dollar percentage on each side
Total:Over/under line
O/U %:Over/under betting split

Track line movement - if the line moves against the popular side, sharps may be involved
Don't blindly follow sharps - use splits as one tool in your analysis
Check splits closer to game time for the most accurate picture
